  1. What is the problem you’re solving? Do other people consider it a problem as well?
  2. What is the market size? How much of it could you capture assuming everything works out?
  3. Who are your competitors? What’s your distinct advantage that’s hard for them to replicate? Is winning assured if you go up against them?
  4. Who’s your target audience? Are they easy to reach? Is this demographic small enough so you’re the only one serving them?
  5. Is your product solving a legitimate problem or is it a nice-to-have?
  6. Do you see yourself working on this a decade from now?
  7. What are the the assumptions you’re making about the idea, your customers, and the market? How are you going to validate them?
  8. Are you going to require investors? How long could you go without them?
  9. What is minimum scope required to validate the idea?
  10. How are you going to make money? How much will you make and by when?
